In the book of Psalms 62:5-7 it says… "Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge."

Our thought lives and self talk are a major area of attack for us as believers. This is a simple way to take control of your thought life and self-talk in the moment. If it’s a recurring thing that needs deeper healing you can pursue that later. This is just a way to swat away the flies in the day to day.
God’s person and character as Love...
The Lord is continually showing me soil in my heart that needs overturning. I have read the first part of the above verses many times that says, "he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." But the way God showed me today was different. What is it to “deny myself"? That was my first thought... So what was that to Jesus in context?
